Today in ceramics I was very excited to be able to get my teacup, for my set of three, out of the glaze kiln! I love the way the glazes turned out. I glazed it but putting black under the turquoise on the inside, and black with turquiose and yellow splattering on the outside. This turned out just how I wanted it to.

Lastly today a cylinder I had previously made came out of the glaze kiln. The glaze turned out really even and the colors, which are both blue, compliment each other well.

Today in ceramics was also a great day for throwing. I managed to finish throwing all of my projects for my set of three by throwing two more plates as well as a cylinder, which will be turned into a mug. Tomorrow I will be footing all of these projects.

Today in ceramics it was a great day for finishing up many projects. I started off by footing this plate with two foot rings so that it the center wouldn't collapse when it went through the kiln.

Today  also Glazed a cylinder that I had made last week. I glazed this with a dark blue outside and a turquoise inside and rim surounding the top. This project should be out of the glaze kiln sometime this week.

In ceramics this week I have been working on my set of three. Over the past two days i have made a tea cup as well as a plate. Both of these projects will be glazed in a similar way so that they will go together. Tomorrow I will most likely be making bowl to finish off this set of three.
